DESTINY CARRIERS CHILDREN'S AND TEENS MINISTRY (DCCTM)

The Destiny Carriers Children's Ministry (DCCM) is committed to nurturing the spiritual growth and holistic development of children within the Church community. DCCM provides a nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn about God, develop essential life skills, and build strong foundations for their faith journey. Through a variety of age-appropriate activities, lessons, and events, the Children's Ministry aims to guide children in becoming grounded, responsible, and compassionate individuals who impact their families, the Church, and society.

The children's ministry of Destiny Carriers (Mahanaim Cathedral) is the fastest-growing ministry of the church currently; with a total number of 179 children of the members and non-members of the church due to the activities and impact of the Ministry on the children in the community and the area. The children's ministry is divided into four classes namely; -

1. Destiny Infants that are from the ages of 0-3years

2. Destiny Kids that are from the ages of 4-7years

3. Destiny Stars that are from the ages of 8-12years

4. Destiny Teens that are from the ages of 13-18years

 

 The children's ministry is running a curriculum based on the church doctrine on Christian belief, Bible characters, Bible stories, Journey into God’s word, preaching practice, etc with a qualify and wonderful teachers that are caring and patient to teach them to their understanding.

 

The Sunday school teachers and the Children's ministry are held in high esteem by the Senior Pastor of the church because it is a wonderful and important ministry and rarely an easy one.

The Children teacher’s ministry is about serving children who are not always a pleasure to teach, who may have tantrums, conducts, impromptu paper-throwing competitions, or just be rude. On the other hand, it is about serving children who are fragile people in a sinful world and need to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15

We can’t wait until our children grow before we teach them about God. Children go to school to learn how to read, write and count; they also need to learn how to live, according to the intentions of our creator. Many who have become Christian in adulthood are saddened by the fact that they didn’t come into a relationship with God earlier, and so could have avoided years of uncertainty, insecurity, and doubt.

To establish a dynamic and transformative children's ministry that lays a strong spiritual and moral foundation in the lives of young ones, enabling them to fulfill their destinies in partnership with the church.

Mission

Equipping children to be devoted followers of Christ, who exhibit Godly character, contribute positively to their surroundings, and carry the light of Christ to their peers, families, and communities.

Spiritual Formation

• Cultivating a genuine and age-appropriate relationship with God through intentional teaching, worship, and engaging activities.

• Fostering unity and friendship among children, creating a supportive community where they feel loved, valued, and encouraged.

Character Building

• Providing children with opportunities to develop key life skills, such as empathy, kindness, resilience, and respect for others.

• Equipping children to understand and apply Biblical values that guide their interactions and decisions.

Service and Outreach

• Encouraging children to develop a heart for service and compassion, actively engaging in age-appropriate outreach projects that benefit their local community.

• Instilling a sense of responsibility and empathy, enabling children to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Faith Expression

• Empowering children to express and live out their faith in creative and meaningful ways.

• Encouraging children to share the Gospel through their actions and interactions, impacting those around them with the love and message of Christ.

• Nurturing a love for learning, curiosity, and a hunger for spiritual growth among children.

• Providing engaging educational experiences that inspire children to discover God's truth and apply it to their lives.

 

The Destiny Carriers Children's Ministry envisions a generation of children who are spiritually grounded, morally upright, socially aware, intellectually curious, and emotionally resilient. Through intentional teaching, loving relationships, and purposeful engagement, DCCM aims to raise children who embrace their God-given identities and carry forward the light of Christ, making a lasting impact on their families, the Church, and the world around them.
