"Thus saith the Lord, 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,' says the Lord." - Isaiah 55:8-9
Dear beloved, today we find ourselves at a crossroads, where the decisions we make and the relationships we nurture can either unlock or hinder the manifestation of God's blessings in our lives. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, we read the story of a widow who was about to lose her sons to creditors due to her late husband's unpaid debt. This narrative serves as a poignant reminder that our relationships, positioning, and sacrifices can determine the outcome of our lives.
God has the tendency to put what you need in the one you despise. Many enjoy the favour of God at the eleventh hour when it is about to finish. There is a great favour God has deposited in this church, so you better get connected. Never expect anything from God when you despise the men God has given to you. Men are very important. If you despise the men God has given to you in your journey of life, you will embrace the men the devil has sent into your life.
There are captains of differing weights, glory, honour, and sizes. There are men who are helped by men to win battles, but there are men who are helped by the hand of God to win battles. There are some 'buts' that destroy the destiny and image of men. Every prophet is a prophet, but not every prophet is your prophet sent to you. And you receive your blessings from the prophet (man of God) sent to you. Every key is a key, but it is not every key that opens every and any door. There are specific keys assigned to open specific doors.
What you do to position yourself for divine manifestations:
1. You need to build quality covenant relationships with the men God has sent into your life. God is everywhere, but we don't meet Him everywhere. A man with a specific problem doesn't need a general practitioner. God assigns specific men with specific anointing and gifting to address specific problems. There are men you meet, and destiny begins to look for you. When a prophecy lands on your head, your feet must take you there for hand to touch it. God doesn't watch over any man, but He watches over His word to perform it, but God watches over those that have hidden His word in their lives and expectantly seek to fulfil His word in their lives. Graced and gifted men are not above men. Whatever a man needs from God is in the hands of other men, and you can access your blessings from God through such men based on your relationship with such men. Good relationships are the pathway to glorious manifestations. Greater manifestations are taken by great relationships. Good relationship is not what you do when you are with the men sent to you but what you do when you are not with them—what you say behind them. White teeth don't mean white heart. People who want to destroy you normally don't look like one. It is not every man who receives their blessings from above. Some receive their blessings from other men. The number of men in your life whom you have good relationships with determines the level of divine connections for divine manifestations. Following is free, but an encounter is expensive.
2. Find a good place and position yourself in the lives of your covenant relationships. Many times, many despise the container and lose sight of the content that is destined to be a blessing to them. Those who are closest to the man of God are normally not helped by the God of the man, but they are just helped by the hand of the man of God. Every land is land, but it is not every land that is your land. The problem is not your location but your positioning. Your positioning determines your divine manifestations. When you are positioned wrongly, you are deprived of your blessings.
3. Sacrifice. Whatever you are not ready to sacrifice for, that thing is a sacrifice. God responds to sacrifice rather than prophecy. Any God made great, God requested what makes them happy. Normally God requests the one thing you value so much, and when that one is released, Your harvest is always hidden in your seed. The seed you keep without planting in a good ground just remains the same: seed. But when you release your seed in the good ground, you position yourself for future generational blessings. There are times God needs from you, for it is not always that you come to God to receive from God. You can only receive from the sons of God and not sons of mere men.
In conclusion, dear beloved, just like the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, who had sons but was about to lose them due to her late husband's unpaid debt, probably because he didn't walk well with the man of God, we must learn the importance of positioning ourselves correctly. May we walk in obedience, faith, and expectation, knowing that God's blessings are upon us. May our lives be a testament to the power of God's love and redemption. May we shine as lights in the world, pointing others to the glory of God. And may we continually seek God's guidance and wisdom as we navigate the journey of faith, ever trusting in His goodness and sovereignty.
As we conclude this message, may the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. May the word of God dwell richly in your hearts, guiding you in all your ways, and may you walk in the fullness of God's blessings.
Scriptural Reference: 2 Kings 4:1-7, 2 Kings 5:1-3
May God bless you and guide you on your journey. May you experience divine manifestations and breakthroughs, and may your life be a testimony to the power of God's love and redemption. Amen.
